Welcome to Rye’s Mercantile Co.

Published 8.1.26 by Ryan “Rye” Kelley

Rye’s Mercantile Co. was created from a simple belief: shopping should feel personal again.

We are building more than a place to purchase clothing, home décor, seasonal favorites, gifts, and locally made goods. We are creating an old-fashioned mercantile experience shaped by warmth, hospitality, quality, and genuine connection. Every item is thoughtfully selected, and every guest should feel welcomed, valued, and understood.

That is what we mean when we say every experience should be Tailored to You.

No two guests are exactly alike. Your personal style, your family, your home, your needs, and the moments you are shopping for are uniquely yours. Whether you are choosing an outfit, preparing your children for a new school year, refreshing your front porch, or searching for a meaningful gift, we want the experience to feel like it was created with you in mind.

Who We Are

Rye’s Mercantile Co. brings several carefully designed departments together under one roof.

LiL Mercantile offers thoughtfully selected clothing for boys and girls from Little Bipsy and Bailee’s Blossoms.

The Outfitters delivers dependable men’s apparel with an adventurous, Western-inspired character from Sendero Provisions Company.

The Mercantile features relaxed, versatile women’s boutique styles from Very J.

The Front Porch is home to seasonal favorites, welcoming décor, and thoughtful gifts from CWI Gifts.

The Forgery celebrates handcrafted and artisan-inspired goods from Axl & Dahlia’s Wreath Co., Sweet Water Decor, and The Daily Batch Co.

Our collections bring these departments together in new and meaningful ways. The First Bell: Featuring the SchoolHouse Edit offers handpicked must-haves for the school year ahead. The Main Street Collection introduces effortless everyday style for him and her. As the seasons change, The Harvest Home Curation will fill the mercantile with cozy blankets, autumn candles, fall décor, outdoor accents, and nostalgic Halloween favorites.

Meet Rye

My name is Ryan Kelley, but most people know me as Rye.

Rye’s Mercantile Co. is deeply personal to me because it represents more than a business. It represents everything I have learned about believing in an idea, starting before everything feels perfect, and continuing to build even when the complete picture has not yet come into view.

What began with RYEGUYSCLOSET in the spring of 2026 quickly became more than I imagined. The first several shows passed without a single sale, but I kept going. Within months, that small beginning grew into more than 500 orders across multiple selling platforms, supported by hundreds of five-star reviews and the trust of guests who continued to return.

That experience taught me something important: people remember how you make them feel.

They remember when you take the time to help. They remember careful packaging, honest communication, and the feeling that their order mattered. They remember when they are treated like a person instead of another transaction.

Those lessons became the foundation for Rye’s Mercantile Co.

The Vision

My vision is to build a mercantile that feels familiar from the moment you enter—a place with the character of an old general store, the careful selection of a modern boutique, and the hospitality of being welcomed onto someone’s front porch.

I want Rye’s Mercantile Co. to become a place where guests can discover something unexpected, find pieces that feel like them, support thoughtfully selected brands and local makers, and experience a level of personal attention that has become increasingly difficult to find.

We will continue growing, introducing new brands, supporting makers, creating seasonal collections, and listening closely to the people we serve. But regardless of how much Rye’s Mercantile Co. grows, our values will remain the same:

Quality over quantity.
Character over trends.
Hospitality over transactions.
Guests—not customers.
Experiences that are always Tailored to You.

This is the beginning of Rye’s Mercantile Co., and I am incredibly proud to finally introduce it to you.

The doors open August 17, 2026.

Welcome to the mercantile.
